Is the power design a copy

Hi everybody, I concern about one of your winners, I happend to com across this website, http://www.inkfruit.com/winning_blowout.php?designid=1563
and I thought mmmm where have I seen that and then clik!!! yayart.com . I don't want to say anything but the creators of the art have different names but very, very, very similar designs.

Any comments...?

It is common to assume that what one sees first is the original. I vouch for the work I have done. The poster is exhibited in the National Insitute of Design gallery for more a year and a half now. The weblink Imcdesign has posted is also an indian website called Inkfruit.

I'll write to them.

The artwork was done a year and a half ago. And it is in my wesite since a year.

This is my website...

I request Yayart to look into this. My artwork itself has been online for more than three months all throughout the summer. It was done in March 2007.

The academic office in my design school (www.nid.edu) can vouch for it. I want yayart to do something about it. Since I have transferred the copyrights to them.

That poster is featured in latest winners. This is pissing off!

maurondg, please don't be sarcastic! :D I do not expect that from the community right now.

Yes I am boneandfeathers' classmate, and I clearly remember it being done a year and a half back in our first year as part of our poster design course. It was much appreciated by students and faculty alike, and has been in the NID showcase as well. It was up on his website too soon after the course was over.

The artwork on 'inkfruit' seems to be an ugly copy, to say the least. It has been done much more recently. It would be pretty easy for someone to just look at the real 'powar' poster on the site and simply copy the concept.

Hope to see some firm action from yayart.

I have just checked boneandfeathers website and I'm impress, I love your work and now I have no doubt you are the creator of that piece, sorry for the confusion but I guess is hard to know who did what. great work awesome website!!

Just compare the quality of the designs and the websites. If boneandfeathers should have copied that, that would be like Dolce&Gabbana stealing design ideas at walmart, haha... no way;)

boneandfeathers: I think you should try to mobilize your friends here and at other community sites and tell them to send emails to this site, many emails. This should make them nervous enough to remove it from their site. This seemed to work quite well with designers who had the same problem via emptees.com, a T-shirt designer community, where this kind of "Rip Offs" are often discussed.

Dear artists,

We contacted the team behind Inkfruit, and we got a very kind respond. :)
Right now we're sorting out the issue.

More information will follow.
