Hi abhaysalve,
Thanks for your comments, I’m very pleased that you like the site :)
We’re very excited about the exhibition too - I have a feeling it will be extremely interesting, with very different art pieces, from talented people all over the world.

I agree with you, that it’s very interesting to see what people have submitted! We’re working to improve the site every day, and this functionality is coming today!

If you think of other suggestions, I’ll be more than happy to whip the programmers a little for you, some other time, hehe.

Good luck with the graphic work :)

Cheers,

Hi abhaysalve,

I'd love to help, but just as votes are final, so are submissions.

But, I like the fact that you submit experimental work. That's kinda the whole point too, to try out new stuff, and see what works and what doesn't.

Also, other people might be inspired by your work, and who knows what might come from that. Or we might get some discussion and all become wiser on 21st century art. Lets keep it!

Cheers,
Ocean

Yeah, well I'm an artlover actually not an artist. :) Just really enjoy other peoples work. Love to see the development, experimenting and progression in the works. :D I like your works, they are very daring.

Hi!
No worries, you are always welcome, its great that our users are involved :)
I’ve looked into it, and you are right, there is a strange voting pattern there. But don’t worry, they are easy to spot, and we’ll go through all votes in the end, to make sure there hasn’t been any cheating.
But the final 24 are not just the result of the votes, but a more complex matrix of all the information we have. So you don’t need to worry, it’ll be be fair :)

Cheers,

well i guess my art isn't your taste :P (looking at your Yays)
I like your works because they have deeper meanings and are experimental which i find difficult to include with my assignments.
How long ahve you been studying graphic design?

amrita

wow, post graduate work, do you have to do research on something graphic design related?
Graphic Design in India must be demanding? Like do you have to be really professional and top of the class to get a job in that industry over there or do most graduates get a job quickly?

hmmm... i have to start thinking about my post graduate topics too.

hey abhaysalve
I totally agree with you regarding bayers hirachy etc however i feel if she had copied his style completely there would have been nothing left of her individuality therefore the fact that its not identical i think adds to the weight of it!

but i do agree with what you are saying.

BTW you have some great art on here! Are you a designer or illustrator by trade?

Hey abhaysalve,
On a personal note, I thought you should know that your work is my dads favourite, and he intends to buy it for their house :) He's really impressed by the concept, and all stories it brings to his mind

Jeah, well, I tend to comment a lot when I am in the exam period, like now...using all the excuses to distruct myself :-)

By the way,

I saw you have cut the head off the "little man" :-(

thats saaaad

but I am happy I have seen the complete person ;-)

I like the first version much more - the head is unusually big compare to the rest of the body and it underlines what is important in that work

HI Abhaysalve, Thank you for your comments and you are totally right about the low resolution, I wish I could do something about it now, but it seems to be to late... I have submitted some of my digitally done work with better quality ;-). By the way,,, your work is great !!!

Hi Abhaysalve, sorry it took me so long to answer you, but was busy with my job and everything and didn't want to write you in a rush. Thank you anyway for asking my opinion (and consider it valuable!!). About your entry, I can see you've done a clean composition trying to communicate a positive message and that's good in terms of approach to work. I can say it would be difficult for me understanding the message you want to give without the title and the tagline. This work of you is like a social communication ad, you want to give a strong positive message and I think the visual element isn't strong enough (or at least isn't as strong as the message you want to communicate). I feel like there's a missing detail, something that would lead you exclaim "woah, I got it" while you looking at the artpiece. The concept is really good, I wouldn't know what to suggest to make it stronger, I guess it's a bit about adding some details and a good copywriter's job :)
All the best and my compliments.
(ps. I really like "our contribution" but the text on backwards made me go mad ^_^')
