The 24 finalists of YayArtist '08!

My relation to art is born in in early childhood. I was early fascinated in drawing and creating "art". I like drawing with acrylic on canvas as I like digital art - which is nowadays one of my most famous hobbies. Making photos with my friends I was step by step interested in manipulating these photos.

I've solved a traineeship at a designer at 9th class and after this short period of time I have found my greatest hobby - mediendesign.
Being taught in school about theory and practical art my love to art was affected a yet another time.

Inspired by a special technique i have abstracted this picture. If you are looking at it quiet near you may are not able to realize that it is a face - but from afar you see the face clearly.
Another inspiration is the similarity towards Maori, indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand. With a view to the innocent look I have decided to make the eyes more clear and not as much abstracted as the rest of the face.
